Super excited for the fair this upcoming month. Make sure you’ve grabbed your tickets if you’re planning to go! We are planning to move the website to a new host to have a more seamless website and shopping experience, so please hang tight with us while we move over to a new website built on Square Online. We also have a handful of new items coming to the shop this month.
This past month I crocheted a giant spider, 7 mini monsters, a sun, a moon, an ice cream turtle, 4 forest familiars, and an impkin. The jumbo spider is just massive at almost 2’x2′ and so incredibly soft! The mini monsters, sun and moon motifs, and forest familiars are all made with super soft blanket yarn and they are all perfectly sized for your hand. The ice cream turtle was a fairly quick commission I was able to squeeze in for a friend, who said their partner absolutely adored it! Impkins are mischievous little fairy critters and this one is no different! Don’t be fooled by this guy’s pastel color scheme and fairy wings, for they are a ferocious dragon impkin, as you can see by the skull and helmet they wrangled from their fallen foes. (Though, just between us, I’m pretty sure they just found the items laying about).
Additionally, we finished a couple of 3D printed skulls this month. We have a green and black mandrill skull with copper accents and sigils. The sigils painted on this skull include the troll knot and a bind rune for protection. The troll knot or troll cross was often made out of iron and worn to ward off malevolent magic in Sweden and Norway. We also have a Cancer Zodiac Moose Skull featuring a lovely piece of amber. Amber has been used as an ingredient for healing for hundreds of years and has become closely associated with healing, matching perfectly with Cancer’s nurturing disposition. The moose can be a temperamental creature, often taking life slow unless threatened, much like our Cancer friends.
Our moon pendants made with genuine snakeskin shed have also received an upgrade and are now all double sided! These will now each have both corn snake and ball python shed now.
I also finished a super cute mini watercolor portrait this month as part of a group’s spread the love event, which is super fun.
